Elizabeth River Project is recruiting candidates for the new position of Development Coordinator. Make a difference by joining our mission to restore the environmental health of the Elizabeth River.

The desired candidate for this position holds a Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field, and has a minimum of two years of experience in the field of non-profit fundraising. Join our development efforts at our most exciting time ever, as we conclude our most successful capital campaign ever, already exceeding its goal at more than $15 million. Help us grow our annual fund to keep up with our time of greatest opportunity as we prepare to open our Ryan Resilience Lab, already receiving national publicity including a recent article in the Washington Post and interviews with Discovery Channel and the Weather Channel. Couple this with our Dominion Energy Learning Barge, “America’s Greenest Vessel,” and our landmark progress with bringing back oysters and reducing cancer in fish, and you have one of the best cases for support in Virginia.

The Development Coordinator supports all aspects of development for the Elizabeth River Project, reporting directly to the Director of Development. The Development Coordinator is responsible for helping to enlarge the fold of actively engaged Elizabeth River Project donors while supporting fundraising and cultivation activities including events and direct mail campaigns and supporting the active engagement of the Board of Directors.

This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive pay dependent on qualifications and a comprehensive benefits package. If you are interested in joining our team, please send your resume and cover letter to Human Resources Manager Jaye Hughes, jhughes@elizabethriver.org. The Elizabeth River Project is an equal opportunity employer.
