Sheriff Michael Moore’s deputies (and our Dave) close the park gates for the first time. Slightly new park hours (6:30 am to 7:30 pm) and the deputies will open and close each day! Thank you, Sheriff Moore!
A William and Mary student has chosen the park’s 11-acre marsh to study the tiny “salt marsh skipper,” a small brown butterfly that breeds exclusively in marshlands. Keep your eyes peeled this summer for researcher Sam Mason and his subject.
