Mandi is originally from a small town in Illinois but moved here in 2020 to attend Virginia Wesleyan University, which she graduated from in 2024 with a BA in Earth and Environmental Sciences. After graduating from VWU, Mandi interned with the Nansemond Indian Nation for 10 weeks and learned so much about the environment and Hampton Roads areas. Since Mandi moved here, she’s always loved helping and volunteering with any living shoreline project she could. Mandi loves spiders and bugs and has over 30 plants in her house. Mandi loves to be outside and go to the beach.
