Join the Elizabeth River Project for an exciting opportunity to contribute to scientific research and environmental monitoring! This free Chesapeake Water Watch workshop aims to empower community members like you to become community scientists and actively participate in monitoring water quality in the Chesapeake Bay.
During this workshop, you’ll learn to use simple scientific equipment and smartphone apps to collect water quality data to help validate and confirm readings from NASA satellites monitoring the Chesapeake Bay.
Our expert guide for the workshop is Shelby Brown, a scientist from the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. Shelby has extensive experience in environmental monitoring and will provide valuable insights. Whether you’re a high school student, a curious adult, or a seasoned environmental enthusiast, this workshop is open to everyone interested in making a positive impact on our local ecosystem.
